Paul Chuckle, one half of the hugely popular British double act the Chuckle Brothers, is resting up in Dubai this week and, if his Twitter posts are anything to go by, he is enjoying himself very much indeed. Chuckle, whose real name is Paul Elliott, has been documenting every last detail of his trip to the UAE, including reports on his flight ("well looked after"), his hotel room ("someone has put stuff all over my bed") and even regular updates on his sunstroke. Oh dear, oh dear. Note: he’s OK again now. This digital travelogue began last Wednesday when Chuckle, who with his late brother Barry entertained generations of children with their long-running BBC show ChuckleVision, posted an image of himself with two British Airways stewardesses (“cheers guys”). Next came a photo of Chuckle's hotel room, which appears to be at The Fairmont on the Palm Jumeirah, and bed, which was covered in leaves and petals, something which Chuckle seemed unimpressed by. And things have only got stranger since then. We’ve seen pictures of his shoes, his night out and, perhaps best of all, a video of Chuckle dancing on a sun lounger (#partytime). In short, the man who with his brother coined the phrase “to me, to you” is living his best life. Asked by one Twitter user how his time in Dubai had been so far, Chuckle responded: “Brilliant”. Although it seems his enthusiasm might have been dampened (if only slightly) by a bout of sunstroke. Here he is having dinner at Brazilian restaurant Frevo, which is also in the Fairmont: And here, he proudly shows off his Hotter daffodil shoes, which were made to support the charity Marie Curie, while also in the Fairmont: And then back to pool time: We’d recommend you follow his exploits on Twitter – with Paul Chuckle, you never know what might happen next!
