Film director J J Abrams has been back on top teasing form, revealing the names of some of the characters from the recent Star Wars: The Force Awakens with retro-style mock ups of the trading card series that was released to tie in with the original, 1977 Star Wars movie.
In true Abrams style, he’s leaking them out slowly, but so far the cards have revealed that:
John Boyega’s stormtrooper is called Finn, and the card confirms he is “on the run”.
Daisy Ridley is Rey, and the vehicle she is driving is a land speeder.
The hooded figure with the opinion-splitting lightsabre is Kylo Ren.
Oscar Isaac’s X-wing pilot is called Poe Dameron:
A few bonus cards feature stormtroopers and the Millenium Falcon, but for now that’s our lot. It seems a safe bet that as time goes on, we’ll be able to collect ’em all.
