One of the great things about film festivals is that you finally get to watch films you've been reading about since their first announcement. One of these at the Doha Tribeca Film Festival was Rain, the short animation from the Doha Film Institute.
The 13-minute film, based on regional folklore and following the journey of a man called Rain across the drought-stricken desert, is beautifully directed by Rahab El Ewaly and features an enchanting soundtrack by Nitin Sawhney. Let's hope there's more of these to come.
