If you've been keeping up with the celeb gossip over recent weeks, you'll no doubt have noticed that Justin Bieber has been losing things. Plot; marbles; grip on reality: they've all slipped from JuBi's grasp as he hurtles headfirst towards inevitable ego-induced self-implosion. Well, you can now add 'monkey' to that list.
According to reports, customs officials at Munich airport seized the Canadian teen heartthrob’s pet capuchin money, Mally, putting him in quarantine when the documents for importing a live animal couldn’t be produced. While the owner of the monkey wasn’t confirmed, it is believed to belong to Bieber, who is touring Germany and Austria.
“He (Mally) is doing well,” said Thomas Meister of the airport’s customs service, adding that he could only be reunited with Bieber once the 19-year-old singer had completed the necessary paperwork.
We’ve all had issues importing exotic animals through customs (haven’t we?), but this does fire up some early warning signals about the future for ol’ Justin. After all, which other multi-million selling pop icon once had a pet monkey?
