The actress Kareena Kapoor did not attend the wedding of her former best friend Esha Deol on Friday. The two became close on the set of the 2004 film Yuva but drifted apart after a fight in 2009. Deol apparently sent a wedding invitation to Kapoor, which the latter confirmed to the Times of India: "She invited me and my family - her secretary sent the invite. I'm in Thailand shooting Heroine so I'm unable to attend Esha's wedding. I do wish her a happy married life."
Abhishek Bachchan bonds with Salman Khan
Abhishek Bachchan and Salman Khan haven't been on good terms for years - Khan is the former flame of Bachchan's wife Aishwarya Rai. But last week, the two reconciled after bumping into each other at Mumbai's Mehboob Studio, where they were both filming their respective new movies. "Everyone was shocked when Abhishek came to meet Salman. Abhishek extended his hand, but Sallu went ahead and gave him a hug," said a source. Aamir Khan to film Dhoom 3 in Chicago
Aamir Khan has announced that his television programme Satyamev Jayate has been renewed for a second season. The 13-episode series, which crossed its halfway mark last week, has had an overwhelming response in India. Khan also announced that he will fly to Chicago this month to film for the action thriller Dhoom 3: Back in Action, starring alongside Katrina Kaif, Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra. The shoot is scheduled for three months and Khan said he will take his wife Kiran and son Azad with him to the US.
Veena Malik: films not for me
The television personality Veena Malik, promoting her first Bollywood film, the comedy Daal Mein Kuch Kaala Hai, surprised reporters by saying she's not interested in becoming a movie star and is ready for "a fresh beginning".
