1. Christian Louboutin Nail Polish
It was a stroke of red nail polish that inspired Christian Louboutin to create what is now the iconic “red sole”. And with Louboutin’s latest beauty launch – a new line of nail varnishes – it seems the story of the red sole has come full circle. The range comes in a variety of colours, which has been split into three families: the Pops, the Noirs and the Nudes. Each varnish comes in a moulded glass bottle, designed to “evoke a shiny lacquer imprisoned in a piece of faceted crystal”, according to Louboutin. The new line is currently available in Christian Louboutin boutiques around the Middle East.
2. Dolce & Gabbana Skincare
Dolce & Gabbana has partnered with the scientists over at P&G Prestige to create its first-ever skincare line-up. The collection is divided into two lines: Essential, which is meant to purify, perfect and protect the skin, and an advanced treatment line, Aurealux, to hydrate and reveal natural skin radiance. Both lines utilise a new active complex called Gold Flavo-Silk Tricomplex, which consists of a mix of amino acids, polypeptides and vitamin B3, and moisturises the skin while evenly defining skin tone. The collection comprises creams, serums, masks, cleansing solutions, exfoliators and toners, and will be available in the UAE at Harvey Nichols in Mall of the Emirates and Paris Gallery at The Dubai Mall, as of November.
3. Gucci Cosmetics
The newly launched Gucci Cosmetics collection has been created to deliver ideal technical performance while complementing Gucci’s signature palette of colours and house motifs. The line-up includes Gucci Eye, Gucci Face, Gucci Lip and Gucci Nail, together with brushes and special preparation products for the skin. The make-up artist Pat McGrath, who co-engineered the creation of the collection, purposely designed the cosmetics so that they would fit in a professional make-up artist’s kit, but also act as a woman’s everyday beauty product, aiming for a look that is both professional and personalised. Gucci Cosmetics is currently available in stores around the UAE.
4. Priti NYC
The mission of Priti NYC, when launched by the American model Kim D'Amato in 2005, was to support organic farmers and to decrease the amount of chemicals "poisoning the Earth". The non-toxic, vegan-friendly luxury nail polish line has just become available in the UAE and comes in 100 different shades, including metallics, mattes, neons and classic nudes. Great for eco-friendly beauty lovers, Priti NYC is available on www.eidealonline.com.
