The world's most famous pipe-smoking super-sleuth has seen a resurgence of interest, thanks to a couple of films and a rather excellent BBC series.

Well, he's now set to make a video game reappearance, with this open-world investigative adventure set in 1898 London in which Mr Holmes is the main suspect in a rather grisly case of murder.

The graphics look stunning, switching between first- and third-person, while the gameplay has you solving puzzles, discovering clues and piecing together evidence across 20 different locations. It sounds more Benedict Cumberbatch than Robert Downey Jr, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
