The hot list: Taking flight

1 Parrot paper

Hanna Werning’s collection for the Swedish wallpaper brand Boråstapeter is a celebration of nature, colour and pattern – and we can think of nothing more uplifting than this exotic, boldly hued parrot flying across our wall.

2 Feather touch

We can’t decide what we’d put in this delicate porcelain bowl from Interior 360, but we want it anyway. The intricate detailing of each individual feather is a testament to the beauty of handcrafted homewares.

• Feather Bowl, Dh179, Interior 360 at Galeries Lafayette, The Dubai Mall

3 Singing the blues

Virgule is selling a selection of these hand-painted turquoise ceramic bowls and serving plates. From the adorable birds perched on the side of the bowls to the tiny flowers subtly etched into the design, these are this season’s must-have. You’ll have to be quick, though – they’re selling out fast.

4 Chirpy ceramics

We also love the deep-pink and purple flowers on these artfully decorated ceramic birds from Virgule – they would look perfect sitting on a bedside table or dresser.

5 Pillow talk

Crate & Barrel’s outdoor pillows are made from fade- and weather-resistant Sunbrella fabric that is guaranteed to withstand the UAE’s harsh climes. Which is a good thing – we’d hate to see these cute, roughly sketched songbirds lose any of their vibrancy.
