A battle of the sexes commences when four women, exasperated with their partners, begin to turn the tables thanks to the comedian Steve Harvey's self-help book Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man. Uneven and shallow, Think Like a Man wanders through several clichéd male stereotypes (one character is lying to his girlfriend about his job; another is too close to his mother and one refuses to grow up) without really saying anything profound about love or relationships. This leads to a series of predictable confrontations and deceptions that feel more like an elongated sitcom plot than a coherent movie. Despite the best efforts of some solid character actors, a muddled plot means this self-help themed film neither engages nor entertains.
