This Location A trio of female painters chart how moving to a different country has made them consider the importance of location when it comes to their work. Essentially, how much of their work comes from nature and how much is nurture? Ersilia Sarrecchia swapped Italy for Qatar, Gayatri Gamuz moved from Spain to the south of India while Monica de Miranda splits her time between Portugal and England. The three also explore the somewhat nomadic existence of modern populations, the cross fertilisation of cultures and the premise of defining a fixed location where a particular event is happening. "I don't pretend to belong here or feel that India is mine," says Gamuz. "I am a long-time tourist in India, and also on the planet." Kids Theatre Works Drama Camp Youngsters can learn how to perform and read and write their own lines, culminating in a show at the end of the week. Murder mystery, soap operas and superhero adventures will all be explored by the group. Allcomers are welcome and there are no auditions to join. The bottom line is that any movie with a character called Mr Pricklepants, above, is worth checking out. This week, from the comfort of the pool, you can watch the kidcentric Hotel for Dogs, before cracking open a cold one, or perhaps even a shotgun, for the remake of The Taking of Pelham 123. Denzel Washington and John Travolta star in the thriller set on a hijacked New York subway train, but it lacks the grittiness, as well as the score, of the 1970s original.
