Young musicians perform at The British School Al Khubairat

A quartet of music pupils at The British School Al Khubairat in Abu Dhabi will perform a varied programme of classical music for the cello.

The concert will include works by JS Bach, Gabriel Fauré, Camille Saint-Saëns and Mozart.

The all-girl quartet consists of Niki Moosavi, Veronika Reeves, Frances Lewelling and Lily Innis, who are all aged 14 or 15.

They will take to the stage at the school at 6pm on Tuesday, November 5 for the free-to-enter, hour-long concert.

The event will be the latest in a series that aims to showcase some of the school's exceptional music students.

The school's director of Performances and Instrumental Studies, Jonathan Lyall, said: "It's wonderful to see so many students excelling at the cello. The quartet has a wonderful programme of music prepared and are booked to appear on Abu Dhabi Classic FM live in session, so come and see them perform."

Before then, on Wednesday, October 23 from 5pm to 6.45pm the school will also host the Advanced Performers’ Concert.

The musicians will perform a varied selection of music, that includes Mozart, Rachmaninov, Donizetti, Boccherini and John Williams.
