What is the memory capacity of the Note?The data of all images, memos and notes taken with this device can be stored on its 16GB of internal memory. If you plan on taking videos in 1080p high definition using the Note, it is recommended that you increase its memory capacity.
How much can the memory expand to? This memory is expandable to up to 32GB if you are willing to buy an additional slot-in microSD card. The device also has a micro-USB port that lets you connect it to your laptop or desktop to transfer any files between devices.
What networks is the phone valid on?It works on existing 3G, EDGE and GPRS networks. It is also compatible with 4G networks, which offer faster mobile internet access and are available in the UAE with operators such as Etisalat.
How long does the battery lifeon this device last?The Note's large screen and powerful processor may raise concerns about it needing to use a lot of battery power. Yet, it has a battery life more similar to that of a smartphone than a tablet. On a full charge, Samsung's product can last 9 hours with continuous use. This means that it competes well with tablets such as Apple's iPad.

The 14cm gadget, which costs Dh2,500, (US$680.61) is larger than the average smartphone but smaller than Apple's iPad.
It acts as a mobile phone while having a 13cm screen that is large enough to comfortably read ebooks on.
It comes with a stylus called the S-pen, which can be used with the S Memo application to write memos or longer notes.
Although such tools had their heyday a few years ago when smartphones typically came with a stylus, the S-pen feature on the Note is particularly useful thanks to its larger than average screen.
The Note also sports an active-matrix organic LED screen providing high-quality graphic display, a 1.4GHz dual-core Samsung Exynos processor and Google's Android operating system.
Although the Note can be awkward to use when making phone calls as it does not sit comfortably in the hand next to one's ear, it does come with an bluetooth ear piece that makes things easier.
And while the camera has an 8-megapixel camera and a large screen to view images, it feels too big in the hand when taking pictures compared with today's smaller digital products and even other smartphone brands.

How to keep control of your emotions
If your investment decisions are being dictated by emotions such as fear, greed, hope, frustration and boredom, it is time for a rethink, Chris Beauchamp, chief market analyst at online trading platform IG, says.
Greed
Greedy investors trade beyond their means, open more positions than usual or hold on to positions too long to chase an even greater gain. “All too often, they incur a heavy loss and may even wipe out the profit already made.
Tip: Ignore the short-term hype, noise and froth and invest for the long-term plan, based on sound fundamentals.
Fear
The risk of making a loss can cloud decision-making. “This can cause you to close out a position too early, or miss out on a profit by being too afraid to open a trade,” he says.
Tip: Start with a plan, and stick to it. For added security, consider placing stops to reduce any losses and limits to lock in profits.
Hope
While all traders need hope to start trading, excessive optimism can backfire. Too many traders hold on to a losing trade because they believe that it will reverse its trend and become profitable.
Tip: Set realistic goals. Be happy with what you have earned, rather than frustrated by what you could have earned.
Frustration
Traders can get annoyed when the markets have behaved in unexpected ways and generates losses or fails to deliver anticipated gains.
Tip: Accept in advance that asset price movements are completely unpredictable and you will suffer losses at some point. These can be managed, say, by attaching stops and limits to your trades.
Boredom
Too many investors buy and sell because they want something to do. They are trading as entertainment, rather than in the hope of making money. As well as making bad decisions, the extra dealing charges eat into returns.

Sid Jhurani is not the first cricketer from the UAE to go to the UK to try his luck.
Rameez Shahzad Played alongside Ben Stokes and Liam Plunkett in Durham while he was studying there. He also played club cricket as an overseas professional, but his time in the UK stunted his UAE career. The batsman went a decade without playing for the national team.

Tailors and retailers miss out on back-to-school rush
Tailors and retailers across the city said it was an ominous start to what is usually a busy season for sales.
With many parents opting to continue home learning for their children, the usual rush to buy school uniforms was muted this year.
“So far we have taken about 70 to 80 orders for items like shirts and trousers,” said Vikram Attrai, manager at Stallion Bespoke Tailors in Dubai.
“Last year in the same period we had about 200 orders and lots of demand.
“We custom fit uniform pieces and use materials such as cotton, wool and cashmere.
“Depending on size, a white shirt with logo is priced at about Dh100 to Dh150 and shorts, trousers, skirts and dresses cost between Dh150 to Dh250 a piece.”
A spokesman for Threads, a uniform shop based in Times Square Centre Dubai, said customer footfall had slowed down dramatically over the past few months.
“Now parents have the option to keep children doing online learning they don’t need uniforms so it has quietened down.”
