Image Nation, a unit of Abu Dhabi Media, yesterday launched a new division focused on creating for local companies award-winning original content, including advertising, television, film and social media platforms.
"As one of the leading content creators in Abu Dhabi and the UAE, Image Nation has unique expertise in this market," said the chairman Mohammed Al Mubarak. "We share a singular mission with Abu Dhabi's Government and commercial entities to develop our emirate, and we look forward to partnering with them to achieve their strategic and marketing goals."
Image Nation's parent company Abu Dhabi Media also owns The National.
Image Nation recently won an International Emmy Kids Award for Lost Christmas that it jointly produced with Hyde Park Entertainment. It is also producing the first Emirati reality television show.
The company's "strategy of partnering with some of the most prestigious organisations in the industry had helped to bring international recognition home to Abu Dhabi", Mr Al Mubarak said earlier this month.
"Image Nation is proud to be associated with such award-winning programmes, a direct result of the close-working relationships we have forged in the global industry," he added.
Image Nation Strategic Media Solutions will be headed by Danielle Perissi and will work with Image Nation Abu Dhabi and its international partners.
Ms Perissi was formerly the director of communications at Abu Dhabi Media. She joined the company in 2010.
Before coming to Abu Dhabi, Ms Perissi worked at the public relations company Edelman in New York and Time Warner in New York and London.
