Covid-19 restrictions in Ras Al Khaimah have been extended until August 31. Under the rules, the capacity of public beaches and parks is limited to 70 per cent. Shopping malls must admit no more than 60 per cent of their total allowance. Restaurants and cafes must keep tables two metres apart, with a maximum of four customers at each table, unless they are members of the same family. Social distancing of two metres must also be observed, and masks remain mandatory in all public places. Attendance at all public events, exhibitions and activities is restricted to those who have been vaccinated or are taking part in clinical trials for a vaccine. Proof of a negative PCR test result, obtained within 48 hours before the event, is also required. Family gatherings and events such as weddings are limited to 10 people. No more than 20 people are allowed to attend a funeral. Public transport, cinemas, events and activities, fitness centres and gyms, as well as pools and private beaches at hotels can admit no more than 50 per cent of their capacity. Hotels can continue to operate at 100 per cent capacity.
