We all know that most travel bloggers' Instagram shots have had more than a little help from the editing tools, but one influencer has been called out for Photoshopping entire backdrops into her travel snaps. While Johanna Olsson claims that she was in fact in Paris at the time she posted a clearly doctored image of herself standing in front of the Seine, she has admitted the image she Photoshopped the background in after she was widely criticised for doctoring her holiday. Her 500,000 followers were quick to notice her floating feet, and so her comment section was full of people calling her out for faking the image. Another two images from the same trip were also put under question. The Swedish blogger has admitted to imposing herself on to the Parisian backdrops, but claimed she was there and is not the first travel blogger to do so. "So I did one picture, shot it and didn't think it looked that nice — so I took a different background and put the background into it. And when I put it up nobody noticed so I thought, this is good," she told The Mirror. “So I admit it wasn’t my finest Photoshop skills. Now in Sweden, this thing has gone crazy and TV shows want me to come on and talk about my ‘fake travelling.' “There are a lot of influencers out there that use Photoshop in birds, rainbows or crazy skies and I could do that but I don’t like that,” she said. Olsson, who also has 33,000 subscribers on YouTube, has since turned off comments on some of the pictures in question, but has not removed them from her account. She added: “I just wanted to make that clear that I was in Paris, but I did photo shop the background, but I’m not going to take them down because it’s a collaboration and they’re nice pictures — it’s a good outfit!” __________________ Read more: UAE consumers warned to be wary of online influencer endorsements Social media influencers: what are they and how do they stay on the right side of the law? $5,000 a post: the power of UAE’s social media influencers __________________
