It is the 89th Saudi National Day on Monday, September 23, and Dubai is celebrating with five days of festivities. Between Thursday, September 19 and September 23, there will be fireworks, discounts and exciting performances to look forward to across the city. The highlight is set to be headline performances from Emirati singers Shamma Hamdan and Balqees. Balqees is set to perform favourites at City Walk, dazzling fans with soulful melodies on September 19. The following day, Shamma Hamdan is taking to the stage on September 20 at La Mer. The<em> Arabs Got Talent </em>finalist will be on stage from 9pm. On September 23 there will be a fireworks display over The Beach and Bluewaters, with an Ain Dubai backdrop. A separate display will light up the sky at The Pointe, on Palm Jumeirah. Dubai Festival City Mall's Imagine show will be turned into a fire, lasers and lights show, set to Saudi music from September 19 and September 23. The Burj Khalifa will also be lit in keeping with the Saudi celebration. It is set to be lit with the Saudi flag on September 23. There will also be a special Dubai Fountain rendition of the country's national anthem. Across the five days, there will be traditional Saudi dancing and entertainment across Dubai. Watch traditional dances at Al Seef from September 20 to September 23 at 7pm, 8pm and 9pm. There will also be a henna artist at the venue to create intricate temporary tattoo designs. Boxpark will also be showing dance performances at 6pm, 7.30pm and 8.30pm on September 19 and September 20. Last Exit Al Khawaneej will host performances at 7.30pm, 8.30pm and 9.30pm on September 20.
