Puppy lovers will be pleased to know that a new dog park has opened in Dubai, nestled amid the clusters of Jumeirah Lakes Towers. The JLT Dog Park, which is located near Cluster H, has been introduced for the area’s residents, but is also open to people from neighbouring communities and visitors. It’s a place for pet owners to walk and exercise their dogs in a controlled and gated environment, alongside other pooches that are keen to run, play and socialise with others off the lead. It spans 475 square metres and offers a variety of features, including a sand pit, grassy lawns, shaded seating and play equipment. The park is open seven days a week, from 8am to 9pm. It is cleaned daily between 3pm and 4pm. There are a few rules to abide by. These include handlers having to have a leash on them at all times, although pets can be let loose as soon as they’re inside the park. You’re also only allowed to bring in two dogs at a time, and are responsible for the removal and disposal of any waste. Dogs must also be tagged with a Dubai Municipality ID and must be more than 4 months old. No food, treats, or glass containers, are allowed. All of the rules and regulations of the park can be viewed online here.
