He's one of the region's most celebrated designers to the stars, but there's one particular A-lister that Zuhair Murad helps shine on the red carpet. Jennifer Lopez this week paid tribute to the Lebanese talent, describing Ras Baalbek-born Murad as "probably my favourite designer". The singer and actress opened up about her relationship with the couturier in a recent interview with event organiser Venture Lifestyle, revealing she first stumbled upon his work by chance. "I discovered him years ago when I was doing a show, and I was so jet-lagged and I was up in the middle of the night watching Fashion TV, which they had in this country I was in," said the Get on the Floor star. "He had this beautiful show and I was like who is this guy?" Lopez added that she told her US stylists to acquire a gown from Murad, which she wore to the 2010 Met Gala (pictured above). "After that I started using him for everything," she said. "He designed my last tour. We just have a great relationship; he’s a beautiful man and a beautiful designer." The Beirut-based fashion house shared a clip of the interview on Instagram, as did Murad on his personal account. "Thank you for your beautiful words, your genuine and vibrant energy makes you one of a kind," the designer captioned the video. True to Lopez's words, she has worn the label frequently over the last decade, sporting Zuhair Murad – whether sequinned jumpsuits or artfully beaded gowns – at the Golden Globes, Oscars after-parties and premieres aplenty. Scroll through the gallery above to see some of Jennifer Lopez's best style moments in Zuhair Murad.
