After revolutionising the industry with the launch of Fenty Beauty four years ago, it looks like Rihanna is set to add another feather to her cap. The Umbrella singer is yet to make an official statement on the subject, but her company, Roraj Trade LLC, has filed an official application for Fenty Hair with the United States Patent and Trademark office. According to the patent, the company would specialise in non-medicated dandruff shampoo, hair styling products, bleaching and colouring products, and even hair glitter. News of this upcoming haircare range has immediately got fans on the internet worked up, with many tweeting their approval. Like other arms of the Fenty brand, many believe that the haircare range will promote inclusivity and diversity while democratising the haircare industry. As of now, there's no information about when a range will be released, as the trademark filing is yet to be approved. The announcement comes a month after Rihanna's ready-to-wear fashion label Fenty's closed temporarily, "pending better conditions". The ready-to-wear label launched in 2019 and was backed by French luxury conglomerate Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy. However, in 2021, LVMH made the decision, along with Rihanna, to put it on hold, with Covid-19 believed to be the primary reason. While the fashion line is being paused, it looks like more investment is being put into Rihanna's other ventures, Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin, the latter of which launched in 2020 and is now available in the UAE. Rihanna has also launched a lingerie line, Savage X Fenty, in 2018.
