Social media challenges are uniting many online and keeping millions busy as they self-isolate during the coronavirus pandemic. So far we have had the <a href="https://www.thenational.ae/arts-culture/film/what-is-the-instagram-handstand-challenge-the-agility-feat-that-counts-tom-holland-and-jake-gyllenhaal-as-fans-1.1001839">celebrity-favoured handstand challenge</a>, the <a href="https://www.thenational.ae/lifestyle/mugshot-challenge-what-is-the-controversial-tiktok-trend-sparking-a-backlash-against-influencers-1.1003289">controversial mugshot challenge</a> on TikTok and <a href="https://www.thenational.ae/lifestyle/what-is-the-until-tomorrow-challenge-how-to-take-part-in-latest-viral-instagram-trend-1.998327">Instagram's Until Tomorrow' challenge</a>; not to mention the <a href="https://www.thenational.ae/arts-culture/five-tiktok-dances-to-learn-while-you-re-at-home-in-self-isolation-1.996838">countless dances</a> people have been replicating over on TikTok. But this week you may have noticed that a throng of fashionistas (if you follow them) have been belting up a pillow to turn it into a dress and tagging it #quarantinepillowchallenge. At the time of writing, the hashtag had more than 55,000 posts, while #pillowchallenge had more than 122,000 posts, so it's certainly taking off. It really is that simple, the style set have taken something most people have around the home, the humble pillow and belted it to make it look like a strapless, structured mini-dress. Very <em>fashun</em>.
