Festival Plaza mall near Jebel Ali and Ibn Battuta Mall will open next Wednesday, December 18. The mall, which sits just beside Sheikh Zayed Road, <a href="https://www.thenational.ae/lifestyle/home/inside-dubai-s-new-ikea-everything-you-need-to-know-about-the-jebel-ali-superstore-1.942830">will be home to the UAE's largest Ikea</a>: this is Dubai's second Ikea. The first is in Festival City near Garhoud, and there's also an Ikea on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. While the Ikea is certainly its flagship, the mall will feature plenty of other stores. Festival Plaza is part of the under-construction Wasl Gate community, which will eventually feature townhouses, apartments and futher retail spaces: the area also has good access to the Dubai Metro, being close to the Energy Metro Station.
