Taste of France on March 21, will see 20 restaurants in Abu Dhabi and Dubai participating – up from last year’s edition, which included 12 restaurants. “Cuisine as a form of art, cuisine as an open field for creativity and innovation, cuisine as something that unites people around the love of good and healthy food,” is how Ludovic Pouille, the French ambassador to the UAE, described the raison d'être behind Goût de France. “Whoever loves food, simple or sophisticated, cannot deny that French cuisine is a reference.” Goût de France will begin on March 21 worldwide. Restaurants from more than 150 countries, including Poland, South Korea, Ecuador, Sri Lanka and the UAE, are participating in the event. The occasion allows for French gastronomy to shine as eateries from around the world present special menus on the day. For instance, Abu Dhabi’s La Petite Maison’s menu for Good France will include snails with garlic butter, salt-baked sea bass with artichokes and tomatoes, chaource cheese with black truffle and pear, and a thin crust apple tart with vanilla ice cream. Bord Eau will feature a five-course French meal that includes John Dory with green asparagus and kalamata olive, honey roasted duck breast and spring vegetable, and cherry cake with yogurt sorbet and almonds. “The increasing number of restaurants participating to Goût de France shows that French chefs are working hard, here in the UAE, to celebrate French gastronomy,” said Pouille. Here are all the UAE restaurants that will put together the best of French cuisine menus on March 21.
