• Serendipity 3, one of New York City's most iconic restaurants, will open in Dubai Festival City on January 25. The restaurant was founded in 1954 and, in those early days, Marilyn Monroe, Andy Warhol and Jackie Kennedy were frequent guests. Now, Justin Bieber, Beyoncé and Kim Kardashian are just a few of the famous faces you might find inside. • Purobeach at the Jebel Ali JA Golf Resort has finally opened and to celebrate, the beach club has launched their Miami Grill Brunch. The beach brunch includes live cooking stations, grills, a fresh salad bar and unlimited select drinks. Resident DJs are on hand to play soul and retro house music, accompanied by a live saxophonist. • Vivaldi by Alfredo Russo in the Sheraton Dubai Creek Hotel is hosting the Vivaldi Pizza Festival to celebrate all things pizza. They’ll have more than 30 different types of gourmet pizzas on offer. Try a pizzette (snack pizza) or one of their signature main course pizzas such as the taleggio and walnuts pizza or the white pizza with foie gras, caramelised onions and hazelnuts. There are dessert pizzas too (think pizza with berries and creme anglaise). Pizzas start from Dh40 each. • The Huddle Sports Bar and Grill in Citymax hotel Al Barsha has launched a new menu — but don’t worry; they’ll still serve up the most popular dishes from the old menu.
