Grab the kids and go see the giant gingerbread house in Ras Al Khaimah this weekend.
The Waldorf Astoria in RAK has constructed a larger than life gingerbread house. To make the house, artisans used 10,000 gingerbread tiles and 900kg of gingerbread (that's nearly 1 ton of gingerbread). The result? An edible house that's more than 6 metres high. The door to the house is 2 metres high, which is big enough to allow guests to get in and see the Christmas shop inside. Artisans baked every day for five weeks to build the components of what seems to be the largest gingerbread house in the country.
