For anyone with a keen interest in celebrating local produce - in particular cheese - the Park Hyatt Dubai might just be the place to visit this Saturday (24). Masters of Food & Wine experiences are held each season at Park Hyatt hotels around the world, in a bid to celebrate local products and events. This weekend's event in Dubai sees a collaboration between the hotel and , a Sharjah-based, Italian-run company that produces authentically made Italian cheese (notably fresh mozzarella, burrata and ricotta) using locally sourced milk. Proceedings begin with welcome drinks and canapes at Traiteur, before representatives from Italian Dairy Products take to the stage to demonstrate how to make a couple of varieties of fresh cheese. They will then be joined by some of the chefs from Traiteur, who will also be cooking live. After that, guests will sit down to a three-course meal comprised of dishes featuring the artisan cheeses. All in all, it sounds like a fun evening, particularly for fans of fromage. The event begins at 7.00pm and tickets cost Dh350 per person.
