Malaysian Food Nights at Hilton Abu Dhabi

Next week, get your fill of Malaysian cuisine at Malaysian Food Nights at the Hilton Abu Dhabi. In collaboration with the Malaysian embassy in Abu Dhabi, the hotel will serve up an authentic Malaysian buffet in La Terrazza, their all-day dining restaurant from September 13 — 19.

Chef Muhammadiah Bin Ali from Kuching, Sarawak in East Malaysia has flown in to cook for the week-long festivities. Bin Ali is the banquet chef at Hilton Kuching in Malaysia.

Each night of the food festival, guests will feast on Malaysian delicacies such as pasembu (Malaysian salad); nasi lemak (a rice dish with coconut milk and pandan leaf); laksa sarawak (spicy noodle soup); mee kari (noodles in a spicy curry soup with either tofu, chicken, prawns, cuttlefish or eggs); and kuih ketayap (pancake roll with a sweet, coconut filling).

On select nights, a group of students from University Malaysia Perlis will perform a Malaysian cultural dance. The dancers will perform September 14, 15, 17 and 18. The Malaysian Food Nights runs from 7pm to 11pm, September 13 — 19. Dh130 per person. Malaysian nationals will receive a 20 per cent discount on the bill with a valid UAE ID.
