Want to dine with the formidable chef Pascal Aussignac of Club Gascon fame? The Michelin-starred chef is in Dubai this week serving up his signature cuisine at Al Muntaha in the Burj Al Arab. Aussignac will be cooking in Al Muntaha for lunch on Wednesday and Thursday (March 16 and 17) and for dinner Tuesday through Friday (March 15 -18).
The chef’s four-course set menu includes foie gras and caviar sturia; Maine lobster seared with seaweed butter, served with Greek-style root vegetables; roasted milk-fed veal tenderloin and black truffle braised brisket; and for dessert, it’s whipped ganache, gianduja shortbread with chocolate cream and violet candy.
Aussignac opened his award-winning restaurant Club Gascon in London in 1998. It earned a Michelin star in 2002 and has held a star for more than 10 years. In 2013, Aussignac won Restaurant Chef of the Year at the Craft Guild of Chefs Awards. In addition to Club Gascon, he has a handful of other restaurants in London including Cellar Gascon, Comptoir Gascon and Cigalon & Baranis.
