Meme-tastic Turkish chef 'Salt Bae', aka Nusret Gokce, is back in Dubai. The 35-year-old has been posting videos from his Jumeirah Beach Road restaurant in Dubai to his 15 million Instagram followers this week, and even shared an Insta-story showing Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, popping by: This isn't the first time Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid has been spotted at one of Gokce's UAE restaurants, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, paid a visit to the outlet at The Galleria in the capital last year too: His Insta-stories today show the chef turning up to his Dubai restaurant at 7am, and then performing his salting signature move in front of a packed crowd at Nusr-Et Dubai. It then shows him with a falcon in the desert the next morning before hitting the beach and then the gym. Just your average day for #SaltBae. And, just in case you were unclear on whether the chef is actually in the emirate, he shared this photo on his Instagram a few days ago. It really doesn't get much more Dubai than this: The first Nusr Et steakhouse opened in 2010, and there are now outlets around Turkey, as well as in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The social media star's fresh New York outlet received a lot of backlash when it opened in January. The Dubai outlet of the steakhouse has served plenty of famous faces, including Diego Maradona, who actually cried with joy over Gokce's steak.
