The announcement of the World’s Best 50 Restaurants is the most exciting time of the year in the culinary world.
It’s a great honour and restaurants and chefs around the world eagerly await the news.
While we wait to hear who has secured a coveted spot on the 2015 list – the announcement will be made on June 1 in London – organisers have released the restaurants who ranked 51 to 100 on the list, perhaps to whet our appetite.
Zuma Dubai made the list for a fourth-consecutive year. In 2014, it ranked 77 – in 2015, the restaurant comes in at number 88.
Another Dubai restaurant, La Petite Maison, made the 2014 list at number 81 but it fails to appear in the list of 51 to 100 this year. Jumping more than 30 spots to squeeze into the top 50 is unlikely, so it appears that LPM has simply been pushed out.
You can watch the announcement of the World's Best 50 Restaurants live online on June 1, at 11pm UAE time at www.finedininglovers.com/tag/50-best-restaurants.
