Everyday is gamer day, but Thursday, September 12 is when the world officially celebrates all things videogames and virtual reality. In Dubai, Jones the Grocer Dusit Thani has teamed up with Deliveroo to craft the Durr burger – named after the wacky character from Fortnite. In keeping with the hard-to-acquire burger head’s look, the signature Wagyu sandwich has four additional ingredients that make it authentically Durr-like. These include red piquillo peppers and tomatoes for the tongue (which we hope stays in tact until it reaches your doorstep), Mozzarella cheese and black olives for the eyes, and a green olive for the antenna-like protrusion. The burger is only available on Thursday, September 12, and costs Dh79. A regular Jones signature Wagyu burger, with smoked beef bacon, mixed leaves and cheddar in a brioche bun, skin-on fries and bois boudran sauce, costs Dh93. Of course, you can always up the cost of your Fortnite burger by adding crispy-coated Brie (Dh23), melted truffle Brie (Dh20) or foie gras (Dh42). _________________________ Read more: What to expect from SushiSamba when it opens in Dubai London restaurant Mazi to open in Abu Dhabi in October and other foodie news Insomnia Dubai: YouTube stars Sidemen coming to gaming convention _________________________
