James breaks speed record

CALIFORNIA // Jesse James, the eponymous star of the Spike TV programme Jesse James Is A Dead Man, has broken the land speed record for a hydrogen-powered vehicle. James powered his Dees-Milodon Engineering-Davis B Streamliner to a recorded speed of 199.7 miles per hour (321kph) on the El Mirage dry lake, breaking the existing record set by a BMW H2R vehicle in Germany by more than 14mph (22kph). His time was officially recorded by the Southern California Timing Association. The successful attempt was filmed for James' current reality TV show. The record-breaking episode will air in the US at the beginning of August.
