Lamborghini is no stranger to wallet-busting limited-edition models – such as the multimillion-dirham Veneno and Centenario supercars – and you can now add to that list the one-off SC18. The SC18 is the first unique offering from the manufacturer's Squadra Corse motorsport division and is, essentially, a road-going track car. Its aerodynamics are informed by Lamborghini's GT3 and Super Trofeo racing cars. That leads to some radical styling, including a huge carbon-fibre wing and 12 air intakes at the rear to cool the V12 engine that develops 770hp. If the SC18's owner does take it on the road, though, he will want to avoid speed bumps: the car has a paltry ground clearance of 109 millimetres. Lamborghini now plans to work with its high-end customers on subsequent personalised Squadra Corse one-offs. __________________ Read more: Latest from The National's Motoring section
