Abu Dhabi has long been at the sharp end of global Rolls-Royce sales, so it follows that the capital should play host to a rather special bespoke take on the new Cullinan SUV, the first such vehicle to arrive in the city.
The Dh2.2 million motor, in "twilight purple", has Dh400,000 of bespoke elements above the base price for the Cullinan, which was on the long list for The National Car of the Year.
It was at Abu Dhabi Motors' Rolls-Royce showroom for one day only before its delivery to its proud new owner, who was kind enough to allow The National to take it to The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal, for an exclusive photo shoot.
The twilight-purple colour scheme continues throughout the interior, with all manner of bespoke tailored elements.
Other features include lamb's-wool foot mats, 22-inch twin-spoke wheels, an embossed Spirit of Ecstasy on the door interiors and a nifty electronic tow bar that flips out from beneath the rear bumper at the touch of a button.
The audio system is configured to the customer's exact specifications and the SUV can be lowered at the touch of a button to aid entry for driver and passengers.
