The film, co-directed by husband and wife Jimmy Chin and Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi, chronicles the first ascent of the Shark's Fin route on the 21,000-feet Himalayan mountain Meru that is called the "anti-Everest", with a team, including Chin, confronting the elements and personal limitations to achieve the impossible.
