Flydubai has followed Emirates' lead and is launching its own home check-in and baggage collection service.
From Monday, passengers with new and existing tickets for the low-cost airline can check-in for their flight from the comfort of their own home, as long as it is at least six hours prior to departure.
The service is a partnership offer from dnata and logistics company DUBZ.
A DUBZ staff member will then come out to your work or office and pick up your baggage up to 24 hours before your flight, print your boarding passes and baggage tags on the spot, and deliver your bags directly to the airport.
But fear not if you only travel with hand luggage, you can benefit too. It doesn't matter how large or small your luggage is, you can have it picked up and transferred to the airport hassle-free.
Flydubai passengers arriving in Dubai also have the option to have their baggage collected from the luggage belt and directly delivered to their hotel, home or office.
The home baggage collection and check-in service fee costs Dh110 for one bag, and the belt pick-up starts at Dh99.
Emirates announced a similar service in late April, allowing passengers to have their baggage collected up to 48 hours before departure, for Dh350 per trip for up to 7 pieces of luggage.
