With this weekend gearing up to be one of the busiest at Dubai International Airport, travellers now have an extra place to escape some of the crowds, courtesy of the newly expanded Marhaba Lounge. Located inside the airport’s Terminal 3, the Marhaba Lounge has been refurbished and extended so that there's a lot more space for passengers. It's good timing for Eid Al Adha travellers, as the Emirates terminal is set to welcome more than 100,000 passengers on Friday, August 9 alone. Located inside Concourse B, the lounge has increased capacity by 50 per cent and now has seating for up to 300 guests, plus a dining area and a quiet zone for those looking to relax. There are also shower facilities and free-of-charge, high-speed Wi-Fi. Open 24 hours a day, the lounge provides an option for pre-flight dining thanks to an all-day buffet which changes regularly throughout the day. Meals on offer cater to a wide variety of dietary and religious requirements. Customers wishing to use the lounge can purchase access online or pay at the door; rates start from Dh210. It's also open to members of select airport lounge programmes such as Priority Pass and Lounge Key, and to customers holding select bank cards. The expanded lounge in Dubai comes after Marhaba opened a new international lounge in Singapore. In June this year, Marhaba opened in Terminal 3 at Changi International Airport. There are now a total of 12 Marhaba lounges in five countries.
