Every second counts when racing cars enter the pits for a change of tyres or a mechanical tweak. But what about when the alterations are on a far grander scale - such as an aircraft engine? The engineering experts at Etihad Airways Technical are celebrating after breaking the world record for changing a Boeing 777 engine in the fastest time. Teamwork and determination helped the experts complete the task in just 2 hours 13 minutes. <strong>Watch the video of the process below:</strong> This wasn't the first world record set by Etihad staff this year. In January, fleet planner Andrew Fisher <a href="https://www.thenational.ae/lifestyle/travel/this-uae-resident-just-flew-around-the-world-in-record-time-1.704132">flew around the world</a> in the fastest time having officially begun the attempt from Shanghai. "With the advent of new longer range and fuel-efficient aircraft over the years, airlines have been able to introduce non-stop long haul flights and add frequencies that facilitiated my attempt," he told us after breaking the record.
