Air Arabia is set to resume flights to destinations in Egypt and Pakistan from Ras Al Khaimah International Airport. It is also launching a new route to Bangladesh. The low-cost airline will resume flights to Cairo from October 15 from the reopened airport. The thrice weekly service will depart Ras Al Khaimah on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, landing in the Egyptian capital just after 10pm. Air Arabia is resuming flights to Pakistan from Ras Al Khaimah to three destinations. It will start twice-weekly flights to Lahore from Thursday, October 15, to Peshawar on Friday, October 16, and to Islamabad one day later, on Saturday, October 17. Air Arabia is also introducing a new route. Starting from October 16, it will fly from Ras Al Khaimah to Dhaka. Return fares start from Dh2,261 ($615). It's the first time the airline has scheduled regular direct commercial flights to the capital of Bangladesh from the northern emirate airport. Flights are scheduled to depart the UAE on Wednesdays and Fridays at 2.35pm and land in Bangladesh at 9.15pm. Return flights leave Dhaka about an hour later, arriving in Ras Al Khaimah after 1am the following day. Air Arabia is the first airline to resume scheduled commercial flights from Ras Al Khaimah International Airport after it closed to prevent the spread of Covid-19 via air travel. Residents and visitors can once again fly into the airport and strict protocols have been introduced to help keep passengers safe. These include possessing adequate health insurance, obtaining a negative Covid-19 test result no longer than four days before travelling, and completing a health disclosure form. Arriving passengers must download the Al-Hosn app, undertake another coronavirus test upon arrival and self-quarantine at their destination hotel or residence until the results of the test are known.
