With gyms across Dubai closed for at least two weeks and thousands of people facing the prospect of working from home, finding ways to exercise will be on high on the agenda. Luckily, there are plenty of platforms that offer varied workouts free, from apps to YouTube videos, Instagram and Facebook Live. Here are some of our favourite options. Joe Wicks, aka The Body Coach, has achieved global fame thanks to his Lean in 15 recipe books and simple Instagram cookery clips, and the concept of his workout videos are equally as simple. The Body Coach's YouTube channel is filled with straightforward at home high-intensity interval training workout videos, some of which take only 15 minutes. But don't be fooled, they might be short, but they are tough and have been designed to work all parts of your body. As his catchphrase goes, "No equipment, no excuses." This is a great free app that lets you pick exactly the kind of workout you want to do – and how long for. Once you have decided, Cardio will do the rest, guiding you through the session with video prompts and timer countdowns. And the best bit? If you don't like an exercise, you can skip it. It's easy to navigate and offers plenty of variety. Les Mills has built a global network of fitness fanatics, thanks to his intense and adrenalin-fueled group workouts that are taught in gyms worldwide. But you can also continue that network from the comfort of your own home with Les Mills on Demand. Available in app and website form, Les Mills on demand lets users follow shorter, at-home workouts, offering a variety of different classes from the popular Body Combat to the tough Grit, as well as Sh'bam classes. The YouTube page offers free workouts ranging from a 30-minute Strong by Zuma to ones that focus on specific parts of the body. There are options for low-impact cardio, as well as fat-burning Pilates. The channel has a range of different workouts for all fitness levels, including a beginner's workout sessiona 30-minute workout, a full-body workout and no-equipment cardio sessions. Social media fitness influencer Cassey Ho's popular Blogilates website offers free video workouts. The videos range from 10 minutes to 35 minutes. Ho tends to target areas such as abs, arms, legs and the behind. She also posts easy-to-follow 30-day challenges. An added bonus: she also focuses a bit on lifestyle, so there are other videos in her catalogue that include "how to train your brain to crave working out" and "decoding the Instagram beauty standard".
