Lindsay Lohan is back in the UAE, after announcing that she was leaving the emirates for America earlier this year, and she seems to be hitting the gym. The Mean Girls actress posted a series of videos to Instagram, in all of which she is working out with Dubai-based trainer, Tony Keyrouz, at My 30 Minutes gym. "May the booty get fatter and the belly flatter," she has captioned one video. "Gettin' it!" she wrote of another. The videos see her squatting, crunching, twisting and kicking, while attached to some pretty high-tech-looking equipment as her hands-on trainer looks on. In one video she can be heard laughing in pain. It is clearly a tough workout. My 30 Minutes has a number of locations in the UAE. In Abu Dhabi it is located at Eastern Mangroves Suites by Jannah; in Dubai you'll find it at Beauty Connection Spa off Sheikh Zayed Road, at The Address Dubai Mall, on Al Wasl Road and opposite the Arabian Centre in Mirdif; it also has a location in Ajman. It is an EMS training gym, and bills itself as "enabling trainers to achieve outstanding results with an intense 20-minute workout session." An example of an EMS workout at My 30 Minutes: "An EMS workout is a state-of-the-art training method that is focused on the scientific concept of electrical muscle stimulation," the website explains. "It helps achieve amazing fitness results through a series of exercises that can easily be customised as per the goals of the trainer, one session at a time. "During the training session, you will have electrical impulses send to target muscle groups in a rhythmic manner. This is done across the body as a means of stimulating muscle contractions. There are a diverse range of devices that are used for this purpose. These devices are fitted on to the torso, lower and upper limbs." Despite saying in January that she was planning to move back to Hollywood to revive her music career, Lohan has been back in the UAE since the beginning of February when she posted photos of herself at Abu Dhabi's Zaya Nurai Island. She has thought to have been living in Downtown Dubai since 2017, but has been a regular visitor to the emirate since 2008, when she attended the grand opening of Atlantis The Palm. She has spoken publicly about her love for Abu Dhabi in the past. "Usually, when I have spare time, my family and friends come to visit, which is amazing," she said in a 2018 interview with Ahlan! magazine. "We go to Zaya Nurai Island, Louvre Abu Dhabi, and Jumeirah for beaches and water sports. It's lovely." She added: "The best thing about living in the UAE is no paparazzi!" Since moving to the region, Lohan has embraced Islam (although she has not converted). Her Instagram bio reads, "Salam Aleikum", and she has been seen wearing modestwear, including headscarves and burkinis.
