Registration closes soon for the first race of the Coega Sunwear Mina Mile open-water swim series.
More than 200 swimmers are expected to take part in the first race on Saturday, November 19, at Barasti Beach, Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort and Marina.
For those not keen to take on the one-mile (1.6km) course, there are 200m (juniors only), 400m and 800m distances.
Online registration and payment closes on Tuesday, November 15, at 8pm and costs Dh150 for adults and Dh100 for juniors (18 years and under).
The second race will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2017.
