Ice Warrior Challenge

Dubai's coolest annual challenge involves competitors completing a course of 15 obstacles including monkey bars, cargo net crawl, zorb maze, tyre course and a slippery climb up the black run at Ski Dubai. Hilton Dubai Tower Race

Climb 730 stairs in a race up 36 floors at the Hilton Dubai Jumeirah Resort and support Emirates Red Crescent. The competition will be tough with 120 runners expected, but organisers promise the view from the top will be worth it. Register at www.premieronline.com

Talise Fitness Sandstorm

Test your fitness on a four-kilometre obstacle course along the beach at Jumeirah Beach Hotel. The race covers land, sand and sea, with three divisions – competitive, intermediate and casual. Entry costs Dh600 per team of three. Register at www.fitnesslink.me

Party in Pink

Fitness First in The Meadows will hold a ladies-only Zumbathon in conjunction with Pink Caravan, a UAE-based breast-cancer initiative. The event, which highlights the importance of keeping fit as a way of minimising the risk of breast cancer, starts with a Zumba kids session from 6.15pm, with the ladies session from 7.15pm to 9.15pm.
