In partnership with The Qode, Sama Eyewear has designed a limited edition series of sunglasses to raise money for the Red Crescent Charity, Dubai. The collection consists of 14 styles, each with The Qode Limited Edition stamped on the frames. A total of 200 pairs will be made, each priced at Dh1,000, with 100 per cent of the proceeds going toward the charity.
Sama Eyewear will also donate 300 additional eyeglass frames to people with vision impairment.

What is double taxation?
- Americans living abroad file taxes with the Internal Revenue Service, which can cost hundreds of dollars to complete even though about 60 per cent do not owe taxes, according to the Taxpayer Advocate Service
- Those obligations apply to millions of Americans residing overseas – estimates range from 3.9 million to 5.5 million – including so-called "accidental Americans" who are unaware they hold dual citizenship

The fourth season of du Football Champions was launched at Gitex on Wednesday alongside the Middle East’s first sports-tech scouting platform.“du Talents”, which enables aspiring footballers to upload their profiles and highlights reels and communicate directly with coaches, is designed to extend the reach of the programme, which has already attracted more than 21,500 players in its first three years.

Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe was born and raised in Tehran and studied English literature before working as a translator in the relief effort for the Japanese International Co-operation Agency in 2003.
She moved to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies before moving to the World Health Organisation as a communications officer.
