Italian's dismay as he watches his side come from a goal down then throw victory away

BIRMINGHAM // The newly appointed West Ham manager Gianfranco Zola sat in the stands to see his team lose to a late Chris Brunt strike at the Hawthorns.
West Ham - who had caretaker manager Kevin Keen in charge for the day - recovered from conceding an early goal to James Morrison to lead 2-1 thanks to strikes from Mark Noble and captain Lucas Neill.
But a penalty from Roman Bednar levelled matters for the home side before Brunt settled the issue seven minutes from time to give Albion their first win of the campaign.
It took just just two minutes for Morrison to put West Brom ahead. There appeared little danger when a left-footed cross from Brunt went across the Hammers box but Borja Valero was first to react to the loose ball.
He had time to pick out the run of Morrison, who sent a glancing header wide of Robert Green into the corner of the net for Albion's first goal in open play since returning to the top flight.
The Hammers were forced into a substitution when Ashton received a knock to his shoulder and he was replaced by newcomer David di Michele.
The visitors eventually drew level after 28 minutes.
Calum Davenport's cross found Behrami whose downward header was parried by Carson to Noble who made no mistake.
And soon after West Ham went ahead.
Noble's cross was headed back across goal by Davenport and skipper Lucas Neill volleyed home.
But within 60 seconds Albion were level. Green brought down Barnett and up stepped Bednar to drill the penalty into the net.
Albion won the game with just seven minutes remaining when Brunt raced on to a pass from Robinson to shoot low past Green.
