MATCH OF THE DAY
6-Karolina Pliskova (CZE) vs CoCo Vandeweghe (USA)
These two are the biggest servers in the women’s game. Last year, Pliskova finished with the most number of aces on the WTA Tour – 517 from 75 matches, which means an average of close to seven every match. Vandeweghe was eighth on the list with 260 from 41 matches, which has average of just over six every match. So this is going to be a duel of the gunslingers, with the one serving better making it to the second round. Vandeweghe was the winner of their last clash, at Wimbledon last year in straight sets, so Pliskova could be looking for revenge.
