Former Formula One world champion Damon Hill has given his approval of Yas Marina Circuit, home of the Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, describing it as "the perfect venue" to end the season. The Briton, who won the 1996 drivers' championship driving for Williams, has collaborated with Etihad Airways to produce 360-degree videos of Yas Marina Circuit, giving racing fans the chance to view the five spectator grandstands – Main, North, West, South and the Marina – at the capital's track. Etihad Airways are also giving fans the chance to win one of 10 tickets to next year's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix by visiting etihad.com/F12020 and voting for their favourite grandstand. This year's race, to be held over the weekend of December 10-13, will be held without fans as the UAE continues to practice caution against large gatherings due to the coronavirus pandemic. “As fans can’t be at the circuit this year, these 360 videos will help fans to immerse themselves into the action of the Formula Onw Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix," Hill, a winner of 22 F1 grands prix, said. “Yas Marina Circuit is quite unique in that it’s a purpose-built circuit, it’s also a purpose-built venue so it’s got a marina and is surrounded by fantastic hotels. It comes alive when the Grand Prix is on with lightshows, and there’s a fantastic vibe at the circuit. "It’s also a part of Abu Dhabi which is supported by lots of other activities and there’s plenty to do... It’s a perfect venue to round off the Grand Prix season in style.”
