Seamus Coleman - 8: Brave last ditch header to clear dangerous James cross and an even better sliding challenge to stop Werner shooting on goal. Booked as emotions threatened to boil over in opening 45. Immense effort from the captain. Getty

Yerry Mina - 7: Enjoyed a running battle with Havertz from start of game and easily came out on top against German. Made himself look stupid, though, when he fell dramatically to floor after push from Havertz in last 10 minutes. PA

Fabian Delph - 7: Booked for late challenge on Mount late in half and was driving force in team’s physical approach. Efforts recognised by home fans when he was given standing ovation when taken off in second half. PA

Abdoulaye Doucoure - 8: Tremendous from midfielder, breaking down Chelsea attacks and accurate with his distribution. Showed great composure to set-up glorious chance for Mykolenko that Ukrainian should have finished. AFP

Demarai Gray - 7: Had low shot saved easily by Mendy in first half – the only shot on target from either team. Played part in Richarlison’s goal. Should have made it 2-0 with five minutes to go but curled shot just over bar. AFP

Alex Iwobi - 7: Played as right wingback to counter threat of Alonso and helped keep Spaniard’s threat from out wide under control, although his attacking influence was reined-in as result. AFP

Anthony Gordon - 7: Curled free-kick from edge of area high and wide in first minute. Pulled low left-footed shot wide of target later in half. Relentless workrate from the local boy who the fans adore. AFP

Richarlison - 7: Brazilian picked Azpilicueta’s pocket and produced calm finish to score what turned out to be the winner. His final product can be lacking at times and he goes down far too easily but that was a priceless goal in Everton’s battle to beat the drop. Reuters

Reece James - 7: Superb bombing forward against Manchester United midweek but playing a more defensive role here that he did very effectively. Still delivered some of his trademark balls into the box, though. Reuters

Antonio Rudiger - 8: Booked for taking out Coleman on touchline with poor challenge in first half but still a powerhouse at the back. German dominated in the air and on the deck. Almost levelled for Chelsea only for Pickford to block superbly. Reuters

Thiago Silva - 7: Reacted well to intercept and then clear dangerous Everton cross just after half hour mark. Fine block on powerful Doucoure strike just before break and usual assured game from Brazilian. Getty

Cesar Azpilicueta - 5: Went down in box challenge from Mina but penalty claims waved away. Booked as tempers began to fray in first half. Awful error at back lead to Richarlison scoring. Denied certain goal by Pickford wondersave. Getty

Marcos Alonso - 6: Clearly rated by Frank Lampard who had Iwobi almost man-marking the Spaniard and his impact from out wide was certainly negated. Did well up against a tricky opponent himself in Gordon. AFP

Jorginho - 6: Italian helped Chelsea dominate possession in first half without team showing any real cutting edge. Didn’t appear to be injured but was replaced at half-time. Getty

Ruben Loftus-Cheek - 7: Gave away clumsy foul in first 30 seconds that gave Everton free-kick in dangerous spot that Gordon wasted. Produced a few driving runs forward that caused panic in the Everton defence. Had shot from edge of area turned over bar by Pickford. AP

Mason Mount - 7: Flashed a shot from distance just over the bar in opening 10 minutes. Booked for foul on Mina that lead to mass shoving match between teams. Incredibly unlucky to see shot hit both posts and rebound out in second half. EPA

Timo Werner - 5: Little or no attacking threat which tells you how well unused substitute Romelu Lukaku’s Chelsea career is going. Hooked in second half – but could easily have been the equally ineffective Havertz. Getty

Kai Havertz - 4: Anonymous performance from German who missed a series of good chances against Manchester United midweek and never got close to scoring here. One opportunity in second half that he headed weakly wide. Stupid booking for shoving over Mina summed up his day. AFP
