PREMIER LEAGUE TEAM OF THE WEEK: GK: Keylor Navas (Nottingham Forest). Rarely would a goalkeeper who conceded twice feature in a team of the week, but Navas was superb against Manchester United and was the primary reason the game at the City Ground didn’t turn into a cricket score. AFP

RB: Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool). A wide-open Leeds are precisely the sort of opposition the England full-back thrives against, and Alexander-Arnold was at his attacking best to provide two assists in the 6-1 rout. AP

CB: John Stones (Manchester City). Having the season of his life in a new defender-midfielder hybrid role, and his fine form was rewarded with the opening goal in the comfortable 3-1 win over Leicester. PA

CB: Max Kilman (Wolves). The 2-0 win over Brentford should lift Wolves clear of the relegation scrap, and their captain was a key part in this crucial result, leading his side from the back in a second straight clean sheet performance. Reuters

CM: Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United). Antony deservedly claimed the headlines for his matchwinning performance against Forest, but it was Fernandes who ran the show at the City Ground. Alongside Christian Eriksen and Casemiro, the Portuguese forms a formidable midfield. Reuters

CM: Eberechi Eze (Crystal Palace). Has been in excellent form in recent weeks, reminding everyone since his long-term injury of his exciting talent. Eze scored both goals at Southampton to all but end Palace’s flirt with a relegation battle. Getty

RW: Mohamed Salah (Liverpool). Scored his 14th and 15th Premier League goals of the season to help Liverpool destroy Leeds at Elland Road. In an up-and-down season for both Liverpool and the Egyptian, this was a reminder of why he is still one of the most devastating forwards in world football. EPA
