Cristiano Ronaldo trains with Juventus ahead of Manchester United return - in pictures

Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo will return to Old Trafford on Tuesday when Juventus visit Manchester United in the Uefa Champions League.

Ronaldo, 33, can expect a hero's welcome from the Old Trafford crowd following his six years at United when he became one of the best players in the world and played a key role in the club's success.

Despite his strong connection with the Premier League giants, Ronaldo will once again be on the opposing side as Juventus look to take control of Group H with a third win from their opening three matches.

A victory for United, meanwhile, will see Jose Mourinho's side move ahead of the Italian champions at the top of the standings.

Ahead of their encounter, Ronaldo and his Juve teammates took part in a final training session at the Juventus Continassa training centre in Turin before the squad makes their way to Manchester.
