Liverpool's 2-1 victory over West Ham United at the weekend meant they equalled their own record of 63 unbeaten league games at Anfield. The result matched the club’s all-time best run set between 1978 and 1981 under manager Bob Paisley. It was April 2017 when the Reds were last defeated on home soil in the top flight - by Crystal Palace - and an incredible 52 wins and 11 draws have followed. Jurgen Klopp's champions will have to wait a few weeks if they are to set a new mark when they will hope to avoid defeat against Leicester City at Anfield on November 21. This current unbeaten run is now bettered by only one other in English top-flight history – the run of 86 matches registered by Chelsea up to 2008.
